First and foremost make sure that you have stabilized your expenses and are within budget. Consider the next step as any person of means would. Earn money through the use of passive income. In other words add an income stream to your life. We aren't talking working another job or more hours. We are talking about working smarter and not harder.
A Word or Two of Caution
The simple truth is there are many folks advertising on TV, in the print media and on the internet who's sole purpose in life is to separate you from your money. There are also many Multi-Level-Marketing companies who have one program or another that will make you rich from selling their latest products. Just find enough people to sell the "product" and you will make thousands each month.
In some cases these work, but only if you spend hours and hours working the "system." Do you have the time and money to support such a venture? No matter what you try make sure you talk to both the successes and the failures and find out what works and what doesn't. Why have people stayed with the program and why have they dropped out. If it is MLM what is the "product(s)." How does their price compare to off-the-shelf products. Does the marketing money come from inflated product prices?
Route Sales
The pitch here is work 4 hours a week and make thousands per month. They costs thousands to get into and return very little. While route sales works for many products sold at your local convenience and grocery stores the route salesman works a 60 hour week. Next time you see a delivery being made ask the hours they put in. Many of these companies selling vending machines and "new" route sales pay folks to brag about how well they do in the business. They are called "singers."
A savings account or investments in stocks and bonds are perfect examples of "passive income." You send you money off to work for you. The downside is that it takes a large amount of money to make a decent amount of income. Most of us don't have the money to make this a passive income reality.
